The Edinburgh MAT editorial collective is delighted to announce that we are now open to receive submissions for edited collections.
We publish two kinds of edited collections: special sections and special issues.
MAT’s annual special issue selection is now open and will close on SEPTEMBER 30, 2020. Special sections can be sent on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Whether guest editors are interested in proposing a special section or a special issue, proposals will be sent to MAT through a form. All relevant guidelines and forms are available on our website: http://medanthrotheory.org/pages/author-guidelines/ (Section ‘Special sections & special issues’).
MAT is a fully independent and open-access publication that relies primarily on grants and public funding to operate. Publishing special issues/sections results in costs that exceed our operating budget, with each contribution requiring hours of editing, proofreading, and web-based work. As a result, we ask special issue contributors to help offset these costs of readying a special issue for publication. As we are committed to open access, fees may be negotiated; we offer a sliding scale for authors without access to institutional support and/or based in the global South.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions (MATeditors@ed.ac.uk). We are really looking forward to receiving your proposals.
